The short version

• We don't require an account to use the site.
• We collect what you send us through our contact form, plus standard analytics and affiliate-attribution data.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, business/company name, and message you submit. We use this only to respond to you.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our host and service providers may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, used to keep the site secure and working.

Affiliate-attribution data. When you click an outbound link to a tool, an affiliate-tracking service may set a cookie or record a click so a partner can attribute a resulting signup to us (see Affiliate links below).

How we use information

• To respond to messages you send us.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site.
• To measure which content is useful and to attribute referrals.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your contact-form details for marketing unless you ask us to.

Service providers we use

Each has its own privacy policy:

• Vercel — website hosting and delivery (server logs).
• Web3Forms — processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
• Impact — affiliate link tracking and conversion attribution.
• Third-party affiliate networks and merchants — the tools you click through to.

Cookies

We use cookies primarily for affiliate attribution (recording that a referral came from BuildStackFlow) and for basic site functionality. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though affiliate attribution may not. We do not currently show a cookie-consent banner, as the site serves a United States audience; if you are visiting from the EU or UK and prefer not to be tracked, you can disable cookies in your browser before browsing.

Affiliate links

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under CCPA/CPRA in California or GDPR in the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email roger@kotikconsulting.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information as defined by those laws.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
